Gerard J. Roerty, Jr., is former General Counsel of Swedish Match North America, serving in that role from 1997-2025. Prior to joining Swedish Match, he practiced labor and employment litigation and commercial litigation. He historically was a primary point of contact with the Center of Tobacco Products with regards to regulatory compliance, most notably the substantial equivalence, PMTA and MRTP applications for smokeless and newly deemed products.

A long-time resident of the Richmond, Virginia area, Mr. Roerty received his B.B.A., summa cum laude, in 1988 from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. in 1991 from Vanderbilt University.
