Fredrik Laurell
CEO
Nicoccino

Fredrik has worked with oral tobacco and nicotine products for 18 years and is currently leading Nicoccino, a Swedish company that just started to commercialise a patented, orally dissolvable nicotine strip. Nicoccino raised capital to build its own factory north of Stockholm. 2026 is an exciting year as nicotine strips are launched in Austria, South Korea and South Africa and will provide a true test for the product’s potential. Previously he worked with Thomas Eriksson, the inventor of the Free Nicotine Salt patent – later acquired by Swedish Match (for ZYN) and Altria (for ON!) – and assisted in two partnerships with a US and a global tobacco company respectively. Prior to that he held leadership positions at Swedish Match, most notably as Managing Director for SMPMI, a joint venture between Swedish Match and Philip Morris International that explored the potential for Snus (traditional tobacco pouches) on all continents.
