Joe Williams is a Senior Manager of Regulatory Engagement at Altria, where he engages with academic researchers, public health stakeholders, and regulatory officials to advance dialogue on tobacco harm reduction and regulatory science. He brings a diverse background spanning regulatory engagement, consumer insights, and corporate communications, providing a broad perspective on evolving public health and policy issues.Since joining Altria in 2017, Joe has held roles in Consumer & Marketplace Insights and Corporate Communications, helping the company understand and respond to developments across the external environment. He is also committed to workplace inclusion and led the creation of Altria’s Neurodiversity Hiring Program in 2023.Prior to joining Altria, Joe held communications roles across the agency and corporate sectors, including at Padilla, Capital One, and Genworth Financial. At Padilla, he advised clients including Bridgestone, Virginia Lottery, and BASF.Joe earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
